In case anyone's wondering, it's a waterproof fuse. That's actually a thing.

The reference might be video games, but the physics scream Looney Tunes.

Yeah, that was definitely Looney Tunes all the way.
I don't even want to know where Sonny got that cork from.
What's the banana thing doing in panel 3? It looks like it's sulking.

@groovykinda: Sort of, it's supposed to be a "so there!" kind of pout.

Sonny got his cork from the same place June gets her maces. They share a hyperspace locker.

At least he didn't have to write away and have it delivered from the Acme company.

One thing-her skin is getting very bright. Is something happening with the powder?

@groovykinda: Er, that's actually just me being indecisive. I thought this ridiculous neon green was more interesting than the more muted shade from before. Perhaps I should go back and recolor the previous page.

Reply groovykinda (Guest), June 14th, 2013, 11:19 pm

Personally I would go back to the muted green for the skintone, and save the fluorescent green for the explosion.
Though having explosion clouds the same color as Cordilia's skin does make it look like she got blowed to bits.

@groovykinda: Alright, muted green it is. I like the neon, but taking a second look, I think maybe it's better to use that color sparingly or it may lose its punch.

Thanks for the input. I always appreciate your comments.

Cordelia cannot catch a break. Not saying that I'm hoping that she'll actually succeed in her plan of vengeance, but you know, she's a bit downtrodden at this point. I have a bit of a soft spot for downtrodden.

@melaredblu: I like the muted. It really brings out her expression in the 5th panel.
Plus, the muted colors make the bright transformation and explosion panels pop.
Great job!
And I kind of feel sorry for Cordelia too. Though she's a downtrodden villan in the Daffy Duck kind of way.

I am finally all caught up again! The color in the nice few pages has been nothing short of amazing and your villains are the best.

Reply melaredblu, June 16th, 2013, 5:50 pm

@Hjels: Spiders should probably have been the first hint that I've got a thing for humiliating, frustrating, and otherwise tormenting my characters. As least Cordelia isn't the only one having a bad day today.

@Guest: The best antagonists are "dethspicable".

Reply melaredblu, June 16th, 2013, 5:55 pm

@vaslittlecrow: It may be Princess Chroma's job to bring color back into the world, but it's my job to make the audience look forward to seeing it happen. I'm going to push the coloring quality as much as I can as often as I can(along with other elements of the art I'm not yet satisfied with).

Shameless puns are fun.
