I really can't express how hard it is to give somebody with ridiculous eye-concealing coke bottle glasses a decent expression.

@Hjels: Thanks, I tried to let her body language get the point across, too. I love her silly character design, but it is a bit of a stretch since I'm used to working with big, expressive eyes.

I usually draw the expression, then put the glasses in, then take out the eyes and heighten everything I've already drawn. You really have to depend on the eyebrows with glasses like that.
You might try the "reflection streaks" on the glasses sometime. Those two parallel lines make a big difference. Right now her glasses look kind of like lights. A couple of grey parallel lines would look great.
