To be fair, June technically wasn't going to punch everything back to normal, she was just going to mace it all away.

Fun fact: In the early stages of developing Cordelia's character, she was a meek but quietly resentful girl who never spoke up for herself. Nuts to that, I decided. This way is more fun.

@melaredblu: And rabbits are supposed to be lucky! I guess he was in Cordelia's case.

@JWCraig: She's the only person who's lifted a finger to help him, so naturally he's got her back. Too bad June's got his face.

He'd better be more careful, because he might hurt June's fist, hitting it with his chin like that. I'll bet this reminds him of the early days of their relationship when they were just getting to know each other.

punching everything back to normal is a perfectly logical solution

@Delta-v: Oh, they still feud like they did from day one. The only difference now is June has found somebody else to take her aggression out on.

Reply melaredblu, December 5th, 2013, 9:05 am

@schlissel: It makes about as much sense as dancing everything back to normal, and that always seems to work.

I like seeing Cordelia standing up to June, and facing her rather than her underhanded tactics from before. And I hope her notorious unlucky streak is over for now. Judging from who actually took that blow, I'd say it's looking good for now. :)

Aaand Leopold smashes Randall's glass, probably spilling whatever juice he found all over him.
I like Cordelia even more than I did before. "And your plan is to punch everything back to normal?!" is a great line.

@Hjels: Everyone is kind of unlucky in this comic. They just sort of toss the unluckiness around between themselves like a hacky sack.

@GroovyKinda: Cordelia seems to be getting more popular lately. I'm really glad I went this route instead of my initial characterization for her.

Reply Delta-v, December 7th, 2013, 1:09 pm

@melaredblu: I didn't care much for her at first, considering her to simply be a jealous little brat, but the more of her depths you reveal, the better I like her--especially since she has a point. Ol' Glass Jaw Leo is still my favorite, but she's definitely moving up.

I love June's eyes and snarl in panel 2 and Leopold's expression in panel 5. I also love the way the magic is covering everything in what sorta looks like Bishie Sparkles.

@Delta-v: Expressions are one of my favorite things, so I'm glad they deliver. I wasn't as assured about the sparkles at first, but I felt like their little 'safe zone' should have something magical-looking about it.

@melaredblu: You made the right choice for her character. She's stepping up and taking a very active role.
Plus, she's right.
Whiny, passive characters only work in Japanese animation, and only in the beginning of their series.

I really am digging Cordelia's development, but poor Leopold. He never gets a break.
