Among other things, pitching powder is poof-proof.

Why does Sonny's outfit change while Cordelia's remains the same? Because it's funnier to see a girl in a boy's body still wearing girls' clothing, that's why.

I'm just wondering what level of sentience May has retained after turning into a dog. She seems unusually attentive, but that could be the dog part being dominant. :)

@melaredblu: Sonny should be doubly grateful. If the powder made him a carnival pitchman instead, he'd be wearing a plaid suit, and yelling "Hurree, hurree, hurree! Step right up!"

And if he'd been pitcher-powdered first, he would probably have missed May, and Cordoggia would have been wearing the roosterhat. Just sayn'.

@Hjels: April has everyone's undivided attention and even May wouldn't be able to space out right now.
As for how sapient she is, I'll leave that up to the audience to guess at.

@Delta-v: Considering his love for games, Sonny probably wouldn't mind being a carny either. I wouldn't want to be the poor sucker playing his booth, though.

Love the uniform, right down to the "Screwballs" logo!

I feel like the pitching powder's team name selection might be a subtle jab at Sonny's screwing around?

Reply melaredblu, August 28th, 2014, 7:46 pm

@NitztheBloody: I tried to come up with something videogame-related, but, well, Sonny is a screwball after all.

Reply melaredblu, August 28th, 2014, 7:47 pm

@ErinfromDEGAF: Knowing Cordelia, I wouldn't put it past her.

Whatta Maroon Don't strike Sonny out just yet, Cordelia. This could come in handy in case he wanted to throw something at, oh, spiders, maybe.
Not Spiders, of course.
Great idea April-have May the dog help Cordelia. Ruh-roh.
And every time I see "screwball," I think of this:

@melaredblu: Good thing she didn't have catching powder, 'cause if she got it on May...

Reply melaredblu, August 30th, 2014, 3:43 am

@GroovyKinda: That's actually kind of where the idea came from, to be perfectly honest. In fact, it's hard to see, but the ball on his shirt has a screw stuck to it.
Shameless rip-offs are fun!

Reply GroovyKinda, September 2nd, 2014, 10:55 am

@melaredblu: It's perfect. Sonny is a screwball, Cordelia is a screw-up, and June definitely has a screw loose.
Of course, even if Leopold hadn't "bolted," he'd still be "nuts."

Reply melaredblu, September 2nd, 2014, 12:38 pm

@GroovyKinda: Well at least April's on the ball.

@melaredblu: I'm really liking your more "realistic (for want of a better term)" look for Cordelia.

Reply melaredblu, September 2nd, 2014, 6:59 pm

@GroovyKinda: Er, I'm not quite sure what you mean. I was trying to make her look more like a boy, but the only significant change is her brows are thicker and her chin is a little more pronounced. Is that what you meant?

Reply GroovyKinda, September 3rd, 2014, 12:01 am

@melaredblu: Maybe that's it. She/he just looks a little more realistic.
Not that she didn't look good before.
It's just that it looks like you're making Cordelia more realistic to heighten the seriousness of the situation.
It's hard to explain.
