Speak a little louder, Leo. I don't think the entire castle can hear you.

In other news, this website has been having issues. Like, a lot, so I'm considering adding Disqus to my mirror site on Comic Fury where things are less buggy. I'll still be posting on both sites, but I'd like to hear what you all think. Would you be willing to start following Princess Chroma on a new site if I enable Disqus there?

@melaredblu: Well, you already know how I feel about Disqus.
I think you definitely need to move Chroma to someplace more stable. If Princess Chroma wasn't such a fabulous comic, it wouldn't be so frustrating when the site crashes. You deserve better.
So, wait, what just happened? Did Himself open a portal to suck Leopold into a bright light world? Is Chroma doing it? I'm confused.
And, as always, blown away by your wonderful art. Panel 3 especially. You balanced a lot of text with a great shot of Brunswick and Leopold. And that expression in Panel 5.
A king's gotta do what a king's gotta do...

Reply Delta-v, November 12th, 2014, 6:02 pm

Wow, Leopold, could you show a bit more drama? I'm also pretty sure that accusing Brunswick of not caring what happens to Chroma is a tactical error that he's going to regret very shortly. (On the other hand, he's so cute when he's glowing with fury)

I want to go where the commenting is. As long as you and all my other friends are there, it doesn't matter to me where "there" is.

Leopold is the picture of calm right now. Does anyone else feel a draft?

Reply melaredblu, November 12th, 2014, 6:58 pm

@GroovyKinda: I know you don't like Disqus, but CF also has its own commenting system and does allows guest comments. I'd love to have my own site, but that's not feasible right now. Besides, Comic Fury is a pretty good site so far. I haven't had an issue with it yet. Offering Disqus as one of two different commenting options at a more reliable site is the best I can offer right now.

Leopold is doing all the pyrotechnics you see here in an attempt to intimidate the King. Ain't workin', though.

Reply melaredblu, November 12th, 2014, 7:04 pm

@Delta-v: Leopold is almost as bad at thinking things through as Chroma, but he means well. Will the King see that too? Now that, we'll have to wait and see.

I'll gladly respond to comments anywhere I get them. I just want to offer my readers something more reliable, because the unpredictably we've been seeing here is downright unacceptable. I'm grateful to this site for being a way for me to learn the ropes, but you people deserve better and I want to offer more options to you.

@schlissel: And is it me, or is it a tad bright in here...?

Reply NitztheBloody, November 12th, 2014, 7:36 pm We're getting into Madoka Magica territory here. I'm really curious to see where this goes, especially in terms of what June inherits.

Reply GroovyKinda, November 13th, 2014, 1:17 am

@melaredblu: I didn't realize that that awesome bright light was Leopold's Bright Light Tantrum powers.
That makes Brunswick's expression in panel 5 all the more ominous.
I know that, being king, he doesn't do much manual labor, but it looks like he's about to drop the hammer on someone. Someone with anger and showoff issues.

Reply ErinfromDEGAF, November 13th, 2014, 6:14 pm

...Leopold, if he doesn't have any magical powers, why is he so calm right now with your whole light show going on?

Reply melaredblu, November 13th, 2014, 10:32 pm

@NitztheBloody: In retrospect, this should have been a surprise to nobody in this story. Chroma summoned an ultimate evil with relative ease, so yeah, probably not a white mage, guys.

Reply melaredblu, November 13th, 2014, 10:33 pm

@GroovyKinda: Leopold hasn't exactly grown out of those anger issues either, if his interactions with June are any indication. For an immortal, he's kind of immature.

Reply melaredblu, November 13th, 2014, 10:38 pm

@ErinfromDEGAF: Compared to what his sister can do, this is nothing. Brunswick isn't likely to get scared by some little light show after watching Chroma unleash cake-based monsters upon the world.

Man, this page is gorgeous. Especially the third panel. Wonderful balance, great kinetics and lighting. And it so full of teases. Dark mage? What does that entail in this universe? Why is it so bad that the people who love her will turn on her?

And why is Brunswick so fricken calm about it!? I must know!

Reply GroovyKinda, November 14th, 2014, 11:49 am

@Hjels: Because he knows exactly what he's doing.
He has to make Chroma a star. Everybody loves her, and everybody loves him.
But when the Bad Stuff starts happening, and it will with a Dark Mage, he can step in and tearfully make the ultimate sacrifice for his kingdom.
Chroma gets locked away, or killed, or banished, and King Brunswick is the Savior Of His People.
And heaven help anybody, including a short fused plumber, who gets in his way.

Reply melaredblu, November 15th, 2014, 11:43 pm

@Hjels: This chapter will answer some of your questions shortly, but there is one thing I'll point out. People in this universe view black magic and people attuned to dark forces in the same manner as Magical Girl stories as a whole tend to view them. What does that signify? I'll leave you to build your own conclusions from there.
