Brunswick, what are you up to this time?

Lighten Up, Plumber Boy @melaredblu: Playin' him like a puppet.
I love everything about this page. The big bright opening with Magical Plumber Boy shooting his mouth off, to his leaving "in a Huff," to those ominous last three panels.
And the surprise by King Brunswick. Leopold's talent for making a lot of noise will only further Brunswick's diabolical plan.

I changed my mind. What I want now is a Brunswick plushie.

What a great page! as I write this, my sides are still aching from Leopold's onomatopoeiac exit. Um, Brunswick's expression in panel 5 strongly reminds me of someone else I know......

@Delta-v: I honestly thought nobody would get the "leaving in a huff" pun at first glance. I should have known better than to underestimate you guys.
Whose expression does he remind you of? If it's the same person I'm imagining, then I think you're going to see some interesting parallels in the future.

@GroovyKinda: You people seemed to have Brunswick's character pinned down awfully fast, even back in the previous chapter. I don't know if I should be happy that you seem to like him, or disappointed in myself for not being able to trip you up this time. For now, I'll just be happy you like the page.

jeez, dramatic much?

Reply Delta-v, November 19th, 2014, 8:35 pm

@melaredblu: Parallels? I kinda hope not. The guy I'm thinking of isn't doing too well right now. I'm looking at eyes, mouth, and expression. Brunswick has a better beard even if he doesn't have the mustache.

@melaredblu: You still surprised me with that last panel.
And blew me away with your art and writing. The Princess Chroma doll laying alone in panel three, then Brunswick looking at her-is that regret?-then that final panel.
He doesn't seem too happy about what he's doing.
The contrast between his face and the cheerful, innocent doll is both sad and scary.

The "good" thing about people of unwavering integrity and loyalty? They're very easy to manipulate and steer in whatever direction you wish.

Reply melaredblu, November 20th, 2014, 4:00 am

@schlissel: Leopold's putting on even more of a show than Chroma did.

Reply melaredblu, November 20th, 2014, 4:02 am

@Delta-v: ...yeah, I have no idea, then. Tenzin comes to mind right off the bat given how he's doing the exact opposite of well right now, but he has no mustache, so...yeah, I'm lost.

Reply melaredblu, November 20th, 2014, 4:04 am

@GroovyKinda: I was going more for extremely serious than anything with his expression. I guess it is safe to say he's not too happy about something, though. Maybe he's worried about a certain knucklehead sister of his...?

Reply melaredblu, November 20th, 2014, 4:05 am

@NitztheBloody: Sometimes I think I should have given Leopold a bigger nose so he can be more easily led around by it.

Reply Delta-v, November 20th, 2014, 11:54 am

@melaredblu: Okay, since it's obviously not deliberate, and it's just my perception, so I won't be ruining anything, the haunted look in Brunswick's eyes and the set of his mouth reminds me of Rai from October 20. I liked the look, so I thought I'd mention it. Oops, sorry.

Tenzin has Supeman's jawline, and Bruce Lee's eye shape.
